Who has ever seen this poster in London?
I am very curious, and I love England, I started researching and this is what I found:
The poster was commissioned by the Ministry of Information of the British Government, when World War II began in 1939, for use in the case of the Nazis invaded the UK, with the aim of encouraging the British to resist during the war. Two million were printed and through posters but very few were exposed.
The poster was a simple design with a clear and direct message KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON, written with lyrics that symbolized the rigid figure of the Ministry , using the official typeface of the British Government, in addition to the official sign of the crown, which showed the support of the king for his people.
One in 2000 in a bookshop, and since the copyright expired 50 years after its creation, today this is one of the designs reproduced. Yet it is a symbol of the British tradition has even created a website to buy all sorts of merchandising with the slogan in question, from a deck chair, a cup or a doormat, all very British.
Many versions sen done. This I like very much, is very motivating!
Or this ... Very exciting!
My favorite ... this!
